Final Outcome, titled 'Catharsis'
A 3D Model Constructed using white cement (4.5kgs), aluminium wire (250gms), cotton cloth(100cm x 130cm approx) and 7 cylindrical containers. The form is around 3kg to 4kgs heavy, approximate height of 25 inches, Length about 28 inches and 18 inches width.
The Model represents 7 different human expressions and emotions which are open to the interpretation of the viewer. The title Catharsis is a term used as a psychological way of emotional release. In psychoanalytic theory, this emotional release is linked to a need to relieve unconscious conflicts. Thus, the facial expressions created with wire represent the unconscious emotions.
